SECURITYBRIDGE SAP CYBERSECURITY SUPERHERO POSTER
A custom superhero poster created for SecurityBridge, transforming complex SAP cybersecurity threats into an action-packed illustrated battle. Designed for a DSAG industry event, the artwork brings together cybercriminals, security vulnerabilities and protective measures in one detailed visual story, with a SecurityBridge superhero defending a futuristic SAP fortress.

The Client's Objective
SecurityBridge provides a specialised cybersecurity platform designed to protect SAP systems against internal and external security threats.
These systems manage some of the most important information and operations within large organisations, making their protection essential.
For an upcoming DSAG event, SecurityBridge wanted a creative way to communicate the threats facing SAP environments and the security measures needed to defend them.
DSAG is the German-speaking SAP User Group, bringing together SAP customers, technology specialists and industry suppliers through conferences and professional events.
Rather than relying on a conventional cybersecurity diagram or technical product graphic, SecurityBridge approached Make Me A Comic to develop an illustrated superhero poster.
The idea was to create a dramatic battle scene in which different groups of cybercriminals attempt to breach a fortress containing valuable SAP systems.
SecurityBridge would become the superhero defending the fortress, with the company's security capabilities represented through a series of simultaneous attacks and defensive actions.
The finished illustration needed to be entertaining, visually impressive and detailed enough to encourage conference visitors to stop, look more closely and discover the different cybersecurity scenarios.
The Communication Challenge: Visualising SAP Security Threats
Cybersecurity involves numerous threats, vulnerabilities and preventative measures, many of which are difficult to represent visually.
For SecurityBridge, the challenge was particularly complex because SAP environments require protection against several different forms of attack.
These can include malicious insiders, organised criminal groups, inexperienced hackers and sophisticated attackers attempting to exploit weaknesses in critical business systems.
The company's initial brief also identified a wide range of security concerns, including data breaches, data manipulation, vulnerable software code, insecure configurations and threats to network infrastructure.
Protection measures ranged from vulnerability scanning and security updates to threat detection, training and regular security testing.
Trying to communicate all these elements in one illustration risked producing an overcrowded image that would be difficult to understand.
Our challenge was to develop a visual concept that could bring the information together without making the artwork feel like a technical checklist.
We wanted to create a single scene in which the viewer could immediately understand the central conflict, then discover additional details and smaller stories as they explored the image.
Developing the Superhero and SAP Fortress Concept
The central idea was to represent SAP as something extremely valuable that attackers were desperate to access.
After exploring different visual possibilities, we developed a futuristic fortress containing an entire SAP environment.
The finished design places a large SAP complex at the centre of the composition, complete with buildings, technical infrastructure and a prominent tower displaying the SecurityBridge identity.
A valuable diamond sits at the top of the tower, providing a simple visual symbol for the assets being protected.
Surrounding the complex is a vast translucent security shield, creating a visible barrier between the SAP environment and the attackers outside.
In the foreground stands the SecurityBridge superhero.
Wearing an orange cape and a costume featuring the company's branding, the character provides the immediate focal point of the poster.
His confident stance establishes SecurityBridge as the defender of the SAP environment.
Smaller superhero figures are positioned around the fortress, intercepting attacks and responding to different threats.
This approach allowed us to show several protective actions at once without requiring the main character to appear repeatedly throughout the composition.
The resulting layout creates a clear visual hierarchy: the superhero in the foreground, the protected SAP environment in the centre and the attackers surrounding the fortress.
Creating Four Distinct Cybersecurity Villains
One of the most entertaining parts of the project was developing four recognisable groups of attackers, each representing a different category of cybersecurity threat.
Rather than presenting them as identical anonymous hackers, we gave each group its own appearance, equipment and behaviour.
The Inside Attacker
Positioned to the left of the fortress, the inside attacker wears a recognisable hacker mask and sits at a laptop surrounded by stolen information.
A sack marked with SAP customer data reinforces the threat of sensitive information being taken from inside an organisation.
A nearby warning announces that data leakage has been detected.
Organised Crime
At the upper right, a menacing criminal leader commands a group of attackers from a separate platform.
The characters are surrounded by weapons and equipment, while the scene references a distributed denial-of-service attack.
A SecurityBridge defender moves to intercept the threat, with a message confirming that the attack has been detained and security patches implemented.
Script Kiddies
Another group features a hooded hacker working at a laptop, with visual references to online attack techniques and sources of technical information.
The character represents less experienced attackers attempting to exploit weaknesses in the system.
A nearby warning refers to an ABAP/4 code vulnerability, connecting the scene directly to SAP application security.
Intelligence Agencies
Below the fortress, a group of intelligence operatives gathers around a table marked with confidential information.
Their scene evokes espionage, surveillance and attempts to discover sensitive information about the protected environment.
Together, the four groups create a varied cast of villains with different motives and methods.
They also make the poster more entertaining to explore, giving viewers several distinct characters and scenes to discover.
Turning Cybersecurity Measures into Superpowers
The poster does more than depict a battle between heroes and villains. Its smaller details represent real cybersecurity challenges and defensive measures.
The large protective dome surrounding the SAP environment provides the clearest visual metaphor.
It represents the security controls needed to safeguard valuable systems, applications and business data.
Around the fortress, different attacks are detected, intercepted and prevented by SecurityBridge defenders.
These actions correspond to important areas of SAP cybersecurity.
Threat detection is represented through the warning messages identifying suspicious activity and potential data leakage.
Vulnerability management appears through the detection of an ABAP/4 code weakness, illustrating the importance of identifying vulnerabilities within SAP applications.
Security patching is referenced directly in the scene where an attack has been stopped and security updates implemented.
Protection against reconnaissance and exploitation is represented through another defender intercepting an attacker attempting to identify weaknesses in the environment.
The protected city also contains buildings, connected infrastructure and visual references to development and production systems.
These details help establish the broader SAP environment that the superhero is protecting.
A consistent orange and grey colour palette ties the scenes together, with flashes of energy and dramatic movement guiding the viewer's eye between different areas of the poster.
By presenting cybersecurity measures as superhero actions, the illustration turns abstract technical processes into something immediate and recognisable.
The result is an image that communicates the importance of SAP security without depending on lengthy explanations or technical diagrams.
The Finished SecurityBridge Conference Poster
The completed artwork was a large-format, landscape superhero poster created for SecurityBridge's DSAG event.
Unlike a traditional comic book, the illustration tells several connected stories within one detailed composition.
At first glance, viewers see a powerful superhero defending a valuable SAP environment against attackers.
Looking more closely reveals the four villain groups, individual security incidents, defensive actions and technical references incorporated throughout the artwork.
This layered approach was central to the design.
The poster needed to make an immediate visual impact while offering enough detail to encourage further exploration.
It also gave SecurityBridge a distinctive piece of branded artwork that could communicate its role in SAP cybersecurity without resembling conventional technology marketing material.
The project involved developing the original visual concept, designing the characters, planning the composition and illustrating the multiple attack scenarios into one cohesive scene.
With a conference deadline approaching, the creative development also needed to accommodate the time required for printing.
The finished design demonstrates how custom superhero illustrations can be used to communicate complex business-to-business technology.
By turning SAP cybersecurity threats into a battle between recognisable villains and a branded superhero, Make Me A Comic created an entertaining visual explanation of a highly specialised subject.
It is an example of how detailed comic-book artwork can work as a standalone marketing asset for conferences, trade shows and technology events.
