Have you ever had a comic idea you couldn't stop thinking about? A n incredible character, a fictional world, a memorable vacation, a dramatic rivalry, or a story that deserves to exist?

The Comic Creator Challenge gives you the opportunity to bring that idea to life.

For just $5 USD, you can enter our monthly competition for the chance to have your idea transformed into a professionally written and illustrated 1-page, 10-panel custom comic strip, printed at 12 × 18 inches.

Every month, Aura Gold, founder and Art Director of Make Me A Comic, personally reviews every submission and selects one winning idea. If your concept is chosen, we'll work with you to develop it further before turning it into a finished comic.

What Happens After You Enter?

Once you've completed your purchase, we'll email you a short questionnaire asking about your comic idea.

You don't need to provide a finished script or rough sketches. Simply tell us about your characters, story, setting, tone and the main idea behind your comic story. later if you win we will brainstorm further with you, and together we will turn your comic idea into a visual masterpiece.

Who Can Enter?

The Comic Creator Challenge is open to everyone. Worldwide.

Whether your idea is a superhero story, fantasy world, funny comic strip, science-fiction adventure, mystery, romance, horror or something completely original, we'd love to read it.

You do not need to know how to draw, write comic scripts or have any previous experience creating comics.

We're looking for great ideas, not finished artwork.

Your Comic Idea Always Belongs To You

Your original comic idea remains your intellectual property.

If your submission wins, you'll also own the finished comic artwork created from your idea. By entering the challenge, you're simply giving us permission to develop and illustrate your submission if it's selected as the monthly winner.

Does every entry receive a custom comic strip?

No. The Comic Creator Challenge is a monthly competition, and one winning idea is selected each month to be turned into a professionally written and illustrated 1-page, 10-panel comic strip.

What happens after I enter the challenge?

After entering, you'll receive a short questionnaire where you can tell us about your comic idea, characters, tone and any key details you'd like us to know.

Do I need to know how to draw?

Not at all. The Comic Creator Challenge is all about the idea, not your artistic ability. You do not need to know how to draw to enter. Your submission should focus on explaining your story clearly and imaginatively. If your idea is selected, our team will turn it into a professionally written and illustrated 1-page, 10-panel comic strip.

Do I need to write a full comic script?

No. In fact, we prefer that you don't. We are looking for a strong comic idea, not a finished panel-by-panel script. A short summary with enough detail for us to understand the characters, story and tone is perfect. After you enter, we'll send you a short questionnaire to help you explain your idea, and if your entry is chosen, we'll develop it into a professionally written and illustrated 1-page, 10-panel comic strip.

What kinds of comics can I submit?

Funny comic ideas, superhero stories, romantic love stories, slice-of-life, fantasy, science fiction, mystery, adventure and children's comics are all welcome. The most important thing is that your idea feels original, engaging and full of potential.

How much does it cost to enter?

Entry costs just $5 USD per submission. Each entry gives you the chance to have your idea professionally turned into a finished comic.

Can I submit more than one idea?

Absolutely. Every comic idea is entered separately, so you're welcome to submit as many different ideas as you'd like.

What does the winner receive?

The winning entry will be transformed into a professionally written and illustrated 1-page, 10-panel custom comic strip, printed at 12 x 18 inches. The winner will also receive a high-resolution digital copy and a professionally printed version of their comic.

Who owns the comic idea and the artwork?

Your original comic idea remains yours. If your entry is selected, you will also own the rights to the finished comic artwork created from it. By entering the competition, you simply give us permission to develop and illustrate your submission if it is chosen as the monthly winner.

What happens if I don't win?

If your idea is not selected, you are welcome to enter again in a future month. You can submit a brand-new comic idea or re-enter the same one if you still believe in it. Every month is a new opportunity, and we read every submission with fresh eyes.

Can children enter the Comic Creator Challenge?

Yes. We welcome entries from younger comic creators too. If the entrant is under 18, we ask that a parent or guardian submits the entry on their behalf.

How is the winner chosen?

Every submission is read by Aura Gold, the curator and Art Director of Make Me A Comic. We're not looking for professional writers or artists - we're looking for originality, imagination and ideas that we'd genuinely enjoy turning into a comic. There isn't a points system or public vote. We simply choose the submission that excites us the most each month.

Can I enter from anywhere in the world?

Yes. The Comic Creator Challenge is open internationally, so you can enter from anywhere in the world.
