Female comic book characters

Did you know that female superheroes and supervillains only make up 26.7% of all comic characters in Marvel and DC. The comic industry has been scrutinized over its distinct lack of female power and we are please to say things are changing.

How did we decide which female characters were the best?

We based our decision on the character’s back story and how interesting they are to us. We also considered strength and fearlessness.  This is just our opinion, we fully expect other people to have different favorites, even totally disagree with our top 10.

Number 1 - Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is the total superhero package, she's strong, she's fast and she's highly skilled. She's one of the most scariest superheroes to fight. She values truth and justice and fights for those who can't fight for themselves.

Number 2 - Poison Ivy

Poison ivy has toxins running through her bloodstream, which makes her touch deadly, plus also makes her immune to most viruses and bacteria. She also has incredible charm, she easily influences people. 

Number 3 - Star Fire

Star Fire is gifted with superhuman strength, that is from her strong tamaranian genes. She can fly at supersonic speeds, because she can turn radiation into pure energy. She can travel across solar systems in seconds, she's also very strong and very durable. 

Number 4 - Cat Woman

She has formidable hand to hand combat, skills with catlike reflexes, flexibility and balance. She can quickly change from evading to attacking, making her hard to predict. Se's strong enough to sometimes defeat Batman. 

Number 5 - Black Widow

Black Widow has pain tolerance way past that of a human, thanks to be super solider serum. After having intensely trained for decades she has superhuman endurance that allows her to power through pain. She is also resistant to ageing and disease.

Number 6 - Black Canary

Black Canary is a first class martial artist, with a signature super move, the Canary Cry. Whee she unleashed a sonic scream which can shatter even metal - a skill she inherited from her Mother. She has been the leader of both The Birds Of Prey and The Justice League.
