The Make Me A Comic Process (It's Easier Than You Think)

If you're already thinking "Okay, but I have zero artistic skills and no clue where to start", don't worry. You don’t have to be a writer or an artist—we do all the heavy lifting. All we need is your story, and we’ll help you tell it beautifully.

Step 1: Share Your Story

Start by choosing the format that suits your story and budget best, either a custom comic strip which is a 1 pager, or a custom comic book which starts from 8 pages. if you aren't sure just get in touch and have a chat with us. Once decided, place your order.

We’ll then email you requesting some info, we will ask some questions, once we have the storyline roughly down we will ask detailed questions and request photos. You needn't worry if you don't have photos of specific events or items or places, we can look online and w can take some artistic license and make it up from your description. It's actually a really fun process to take a trip down memory lane remembering all your favorite moments together.

Step 2: We Get to Work Drawing

After we’ve got everything we need, the magic begins.

Our professional illustrators (yep, real comic book pros) start hand-drawing your comic. Every person, place, and detail is carefully crafted to match your real life. The characters even look like you—it’s not just some generic cartoon couple.

We will send you a rough draft of the artwork and request your feedback, at this stage ANY edits can be made. Then we apply your feedback and complete the cmic. Even when the artwork is complete you can request edits, just colours, text and likeness to characters. No stress, no pressure, and no “that doesn’t even look like me” moments. The comic is complete when you say it is.

Step 3: You Approve It & We Deliver

Once you're happy, you’ll receive a high-resolution digital file of your comic to your email. You can choose to print it locally, we will help you find a printer.
