Step 1: Find Your Story — Big or Small, It Matters
Every great comic begins with emotion — love, laughter, nostalgia, or curiosity.
Ask yourself:
- What story do I want to remember forever?
- Who are the main characters — me, my partner, my family, my pet?
- What’s the tone — funny, romantic, adventurous, dramatic?
You don’t need a complex plot. Some of our most popular comics come from simple, real-life moments:
- How two people met and fell in love (our most popular storyline_)
- A beloved pet’s everyday antics.
- A funny office or friendship story.
- Perhaps a fictional superhero story with your fabourite heroes and villains
Any story can be turned into a comic, the best ones make you smile, laugh, perhaps even cry.
Step 2: Write a Quick Outline
You don’t need to script like a pro — just jot down the story beats.
Think in three parts:
- Beginning: Introduce the setting and characters.
- Middle: Show the conflict or funny twist.
- End: Deliver the resolution or punchline.
Example outline:
“We met at Comic-Con. I was dressed as Wonder Woman; he spilled coffee on his Spider-Man suit. Our eyes locked and he asked me if. wanted to go and catch Stan lee giving a talk. Love blossomed quickly, we moved in together a month later and 6 months later were married. we have travelled all over the world going to comic conventions and we are now expecting our first child"

Step 3: Choose Your Format

For those who are buying for a die hard comic book fan, then our custom comic books are a hot favourite. They start at 8 pages and can be as long as you like. The finished result is a proper looking comic book like you see in the comic store. printed and bound into a book!
We know it can be hard to choose, we also know it can be hard to know how many comic panels you need for your story. if in doubt buy the smallest comic strip or comic book we can always invoice extra panels later. OR reach out to use first and share the story.
Step 4: Email us your story
This is where collaboration begins.
When you order your comic, we'll hen do the following
- Ask questions and split your story up into comic panels.
- Once the panels are agreed we will ask further questions to help us define the smaller details.
- Then we will request photos of the people (or pets!)
- Once we have the materials, we begin sketching, designing panels, and building your custom story from scratch.
Step 5: Watch the Magic Happen
Our process is fully guided and includes:
- ✏️ Storyboarding: We turn your outline into visual scenes.
- 🎭 Character Art: Each person (or pet) is drawn to look like them — expressive, alive, and full of personality.
- 🎨 Inking & Colouring: The comic style — bold, clean, or classic — is applied with rich colour and detail.
- 💌 Unlimited Edits: You’ll see previews and can tweak anything — dialogue, colours, expressions — until it’s perfect.

Step 6: Approve, Print, and Enjoy
When your comic is finished, you’ll receive a digital proof to review. Once approved, if you ordered a custom comic strip we will email you the digital file and help you find a printer locally. if you ordered a custom comic book we will print 3 hard copies locally to you.
